OneWeb packages

OneWeb packages: Essentials, Hospitality, Business Continuity

Options and inclusions, without the commercials: every site is quoted after a free desktop pre-survey. FCP Group is an authorised OneWeb reseller, delivered through NEC XON, the OneWeb distributor for South Africa. What FCP delivers on every site: survey → design → install → activation → managed support, one accountable team.

The three packages

What each one is built for, and what is in it

LEO Essentials

One building, a small team. Farm offices, packhouses, clinics, schools, small lodges, site offices, weighbridges, pump stations — any single building where fibre does not reach.

  • OneWeb user terminal (outdoor antenna unit, indoor unit and power supply), supplied through NEC XON
  • Mounting on a wall bracket, a short pole or a non-penetrating roof mount, chosen at survey
  • Outdoor-to-indoor cable run, weatherproofed and labelled at both ends
  • Earthing and surge protection on the terminal
  • Business router with Wi-Fi for one building — Adtran, Cisco or Juniper, chosen for the site
  • Activation and service turn-up on the OneWeb plan you choose
  • Speed test and hand-over pack: photos, serial numbers, test results, as-installed drawing
  • Basic monitoring (link up/down alerts) and remote support in business hours

Commercial shape: once-off (terminal, install, activation) plus a monthly amount (airtime plan and support). Quoted per site.

LEO Hospitality

Several buildings, guests and staff. Game lodges and reserves, guest farms, wine estates, boutique hotels off the fibre map, staff villages, remote conference venues.

Everything in Essentials, plus:

  • Point-to-point wireless links between buildings — reception, rooms, kitchen, staff housing, workshop — with line-of-sight survey and alignment
  • Guest Wi-Fi designed per building and managed on Adtran Mosaic One: multiple access points, guest and staff networks kept apart, bandwidth fairly shared
  • Captive portal: branded welcome page, voucher or room-number log-in, usage limits per guest
  • Cellular signal booster for staff and guest phones where the mobile signal is weak
  • Monitoring with a service level agreement: proactive alerts, monthly report, remote fixes, scheduled or priority on-site response
  • Managed service: configuration backups, firmware, seasonal capacity review before peak season

Commercial shape: once-off (terminal, links, Wi-Fi, install) plus a monthly managed-service amount that includes the airtime plan. Quoted per site.

LEO Business Continuity

OneWeb as the standby link. Offices, branches, retail stores, clinics, warehouses, packhouses and control rooms that already have fibre, fixed wireless or a mobile-network link, and lose money, data or safety when it drops. Also for sites hit by cable theft.

  • OneWeb user terminal installed, earthed and activated as the standby link
  • Dual-WAN firewall or router with automatic switchover to OneWeb when the primary link fails, and automatic return when it recovers — Adtran, Cisco or Juniper
  • Rules for what runs over the standby link during an outage: card machines, VoIP, SCADA, CCTV and cloud apps first; bulk downloads held back
  • Standby airtime plan sized for outage use
  • Service level agreement with link monitoring and failover alerts
  • Quarterly failover test with a short written result
  • Hand-over pack and a one-page "what happens when the fibre goes down" sheet for site staff

Commercial shape: once-off (terminal, firewall, install) plus a lower monthly amount (standby plan and SLA). Quoted per site.

Survey offer

A free desktop check first. A site visit only when it earns its place.

Desktop pre-survey — free, within two working days

You send us:

  • GPS coordinates of the building (a phone screenshot of the map pin is fine)
  • Six photos: the building and its surroundings; the wall, roof or pole where the antenna could go; the sky from that point looking north; the sky looking south; where the cable would enter the building; the room where the indoor unit and router would live, showing the power point and any existing equipment
  • A short power and mounting questionnaire: mains power at the mount point and in the equipment room; UPS, generator or solar; roof and wall type; distance from antenna position to indoor unit; existing router or firewall and internet provider; site access and security rules; working-at-height rules

We check sky view, mounting, cable run, power and plan fit, and reply with a go / no-go / needs-a-visit result and the recommended package.

Site survey — paid, credited against the install

When the desktop check cannot settle the mount position, the cable route, the power or a multi-building layout, an FCP technician visits. You receive a written survey report in FCP's standard format: site identity and access, line-of-sight findings, proposed antenna position with photos, cable route and entry, indoor unit and rack position, power and UPS status, pre-works list, and a recommended package.

The survey fee is credited in full against the install when you proceed within the period stated on the quote. Travel outside the Cape metro is quoted with the survey.

How it works

What to expect, step by step

StepWhat happensTypical time
1. Desktop checkYou send GPS, six photos and the questionnaire; we reply with go / no-gotwo working days
2. Survey (if needed)Site visit and written reportbooked with you
3. Design and quotePackage, plan, drawing and quote; good and better options where usefultwo working days after the survey
4. OrderYou accept; FCP orders the terminal through NEC XON and books the installhardware lead time confirmed on order
5. InstallMount, cable, earth, indoor unit, router or firewall, Wi-Fione working day per single-building site; two to five days for a multi-building lodge

7. Hand-overPhotos, serials, test results, as-installed drawing, acceptance certificatewith the install

What we need from you before install day: power at the equipment position (on a UPS outlet where possible), a place for the indoor unit and router (a small cabinet or shelf; a 19-inch rack for Hospitality and Business Continuity sites), site access arranged, and any pre-works from the survey report completed.
